Hokkaido Home Farm

A working educational farm in the agricultural heartland of central Hokkaido, wide open fields, native forest, horses, and a sky that goes on forever.

Hokkaido Home Farm was built from the ground up by Clarence Education Asia as a place where children learn through the landscape itself. There are no classrooms. The forest, the paddock, the treehouse, the garden bed, and the campfire circle, these are where learning happens.

The farm is always evolving. And that is the point. When children collect native seeds and sow them into prepared ground, they are contributing to the farm's actual rewilding. The carpentry projects use real timber from real thinning work. What they plant and build will be here next summer, and the summer after that. Eco Lab doesn't just take place at Hokkaido Home Farm, it helps shape what the farm becomes.

Hokkaido Home Farm is approximately 15 minutes from New Chitose Airport. Full travel details are shared on enrolment.

Phoenix House
International School

A purpose-built campus in Chiyoda-ku, steps from the British Embassy and the Imperial Palace, one of Tokyo's most central and culturally rich neighbourhoods.

The school was designed for the kind of learning Expression Lab runs on. Learning spaces are flooded with natural light and open onto wide corridors that give children space to move freely between making, thinking, and performing. A professional dance studio with Harlequin floor hosts movement and drama. Dedicated music spaces give children room to experiment with instruments, voice, and sound. Composing, improvising, and discovering what music can express when words fall short. The art room is where ideas take physical form, painting, sculpting, printmaking, and visual storytelling across the week.

But the real reason Expression Lab lives here is what's outside. Tokyo's museums, galleries, parks, and streetscapes are minutes away. Children walk the neighbourhood each morning, visit cultural spaces mid-week, and return to the studio to make sense of what they've encountered. Phoenix House gives them a safe, inspiring base. The city gives them everything else.
